Description about the Department.
The I & CADD Department caters to the irrigation needs of the state of Telangana and those helps one of the basic needs of the man kind, i,e food by providing water to the crops through its system comprising reservoirs, canals, M.I tanks and other related infra structures.

Department activities.
In Khammam District there are two Irrigation Divisions namely Irrigation division Khammam & Irrigation division Sathupally these two divisions are in charge of operations & maintenance of M.I tanks above 100 acres & below 100 acres in additions to two medium irrigation projects located in two mandals.
There are two medium irrigation projects namely Wyra medium irrigation Project & Lank sagar medium irrigation Project.

There is total of 1,26,175 acres of ayacut in Khammam District.
Description about the department scheme details and related applications
The Government of Telangana has Priortized to take the restoration of minor irrigation tanks to restore them to store their Original capacity and to effectively utilize the water allocated for minor irrigation sector under Godavari & Krishna basin.The massive programme for restoration of tanks is named as “ ChinnaneetiVanaruluPunaruddarana” and it is renamed as Mission Kakatiya. In this Programme it is Planned to restore 20% of total tanks In 5 years in a phased manner.
