LORD SANGAMESWARA TEMPLE


Khammam District is treasure of natural wealth and resources with delightful scenaries appearing in the major part of its agency areas. A remote tribal village Prentalapalli will prove this fact and remain as an excellent example at tracting the tourists to have the glimpses of glorious beauties hidden in its fold. Keeping in view, the importance of the place, the District Tourist Department has recently started a package tour from Bhandrachalam to Papi hills through Perantalapally.

Koodali Jathara on Maha Sivarathri Day is famous in Telangana region. Lord Sangameswara and Lord Venkateswara temples are here. Akuru, Muneru, Buggastream join here. 250 Years ago an Ayurvedic Doctor Sri Bajjuri Nagaiah of Mangaligudem Village went on searching for Medicinal plants in this area. He found the Siva idol. A Brahmin Pakayaji built the temple.

People from Krishna, Nalgonda, Warangal, Khammam Districts visit the temple regularly. Nearly one and half lakh devotees visit and offer prayers every year. The locations and temple need further development to become a good tourist and pilgrim Station.
