LORD SANGAMESWARA TEMPLE
Khammam District is treasure of natural wealth and resources
with delightful scenaries appearing in the major part of its
agency areas. A remote tribal village Prentalapalli will prove
this fact and remain as an excellent example at tracting the
tourists to have the glimpses of glorious beauties hidden in
its fold. Keeping in view, the importance of the place, the
District Tourist Department has recently started a package tour
from Bhandrachalam to Papi hills through Perantalapally.
Koodali Jathara on Maha Sivarathri Day is famous in Telangana
region. Lord Sangameswara and Lord Venkateswara temples are
here. Akuru, Muneru, Buggastream join here. 250 Years ago an
Ayurvedic Doctor Sri Bajjuri Nagaiah of Mangaligudem Village
went on searching for Medicinal plants in this area. He found
the Siva idol. A Brahmin Pakayaji built the temple.
People from Krishna, Nalgonda, Warangal, Khammam Districts visit
the temple regularly. Nearly one and half lakh devotees visit
and offer prayers every year. The locations and temple need
further development to become a good tourist and pilgrim Station.
