The District plays a very important role in the power generation with the Kothagudem Thermal Power Station with a generation capacity of 1000 MW at Palwancha and with the Singareni Collieries Company Limited, which is the major source of coal for generation of thermal power in the district and also for other thermal power stations in the State. So far as the tourist spots are concerned in Khammam District, it is strongly felt that major units of KTPS and Singareni Collieries can be visited by tourists. As such, the places have been suggested to be visited by the Tourist visiting the district from outside.
