(Telangana Thirupathi) Kallur is one of the centrally located place in Khammam District. It has its own 400 years history. Lord Venu Gopala Swamy Temple was built by Queen Rudrama Devi. In Kuthub Shahis period it is Taluka Headquarters. The name Kallur is derived after the name of Kanakagiri hills situated in the area. There is Lord Siva Temple near Kallur built by Kakatiya King Prathapa Rudra. In this temple five Lingas (Idols) are there. One Koneru (Tank) is also there in the temple premises. This can be developed as tourist and Pilgrim Centre.
