Jamalapuram
which is otherwise called as Telangana Thirupati is an important piligrim and Tourist Centre. It has got Mythological importance. It is situated in Yerrypalem Mandal, 80 Km., away from Dist. Head Qrs. 6 Km. Away from Railway Station Yerrupalem.

Mythologically it is stated that Lord Venkateswara has graced JABALI MAHARSHI as a result of his rigorous Penance on “SUCHIGIRI HILL” which is now called as “SUCHI GUTTA”, near Jamalpuram. The same Lord Venktewsara gained heights of importance in later period. Vijayanaragara Emperor Sri Krishna Deva Raya has visited this place and renovated the temple. The family of Uppala Yagna Narayan Sarma the first Archka are conducting all the rituals till today.


In the year 1968 the temple was taken over by Endowment Department. Subsequently, the temple was rebuilt along with two temples for Padmavathi Alivelu Manga deities.


There is a twelve roomed T.T.D. Chowltry, Kalyana Katta and bathing facilities are available. The temple is being developed by non-resident Andhras. Every year the culminations are organized in the temple from Ugadi to Sree Rama Navami. People from various districts of A.P. and other states visit the temple regularly.
